Andy Martin

I was born in England, but moved to Canada when I was 11 years old. In Canada, I lived in Ottawa, Toronto, Kingston, Thunder Bay and Vancouver before moving to Austin Texas in 1996.   As a teen, I was heavily influenced by such artists as Joni Mitchell, John Prine, Gordon Lightfoot, Simon and Garfunkel, Cat Stevens. In my early twenties, I fell in love with the music of Stan Rogers.  Since moving to Ausin, I have developed an appreciation for Americana.  At my shows, I generally play a couple of original songs, but focus on covering my favorite music by such artists as Tom Russell, James McMurtry, Slaid Cleaves, David Wiffen, Guy Clark, Jason Isbell, and Stan Rogers.
